ELECTRICITY MANAGEMENT
SERVICES:
Comsatec's approach to electricity management is to provide the tools, the market intelligence and guidance to assist our customers in making informed decisions in their forward purchases and save them $$$. We also act as a "one stop shopping" approach to electricity management.
To date, our services have saved our customers thousands of dollars.
As with natural gas our focus is to handle electricity management to the meter.

On-going Market Operations
- Management of supply portfolios with price and risk analysis
- Using updated load profiles and pricing information to refine hedging positions
- Billing
- Verification of electricity bills
- Bidding with the IESO where required
- Representation at regulatory bodies and notification of significant events
Large end users will
purchase electricity at the spot market price unless they have an arrangement in
place that hedges some or all of their electricity costs. The spot energy price is
expected to be very volatile.
The prices vary by Utility. The following rates are based on
Hydro One Rates for customer greater than 1000 kW.
