Comsatec offers premium wood pellets on the wholesale market throughout Ontario.
Packaged for the Retail Market sale, wood pellets are delivered in plastic bags each weighing forty pounds. The retailer has the choice of purchasing these wood pellets in custom printed bags or in the manufacturer’s generic bags.
Bulk deliveries can also be arranged for large commercial or industrial users.
Current deliveries are of softwood with an ash content of less than 0.4 % and a heat value of near 8,000 Btu per pound.
Wood pellets provide a clean burning energy solution to home owners as well as bulk users, and is an environmentally superior source of heat, with CO2 emissions neutral both in storage and combustion. Equipment and furnaces manufactured to utilize wood pellets have greatly advanced in quality over the last few years.
The product is competitively priced against #2 furnace oil and particularly propane fuel. Pellets are not subject to the fluctuation of oil prices in a market dictated by world events.
The market for the product has reached maturity in a number of regions in North America where raw wood and wood residue is in abundance. Supply of pellets today far exceeds their utilization in the North American market and therefore should remain competitive with other forms of energy for the distant future.
